Founded by Henrik Pedersen and Mikkel Dybro Lundorf in 2011, Nanocore was established to solve the long-standing challenge of making industrially relevant, high-strength CNT composite materials. Over the years, we have developed a groundbreaking technology to unleash the potential of CNT composites.
At Nanocore, our mission is to pioneer a green revolution by creating extraordinarily strong and light-weight carbon nanotube (CNT) composite materials. The high-strength, low-weight materials are applicable to virtually any product and industry.
We specialize in developing CNT composites using our proprietary LASSO technology. The technology addresses the issues of CNT aggregation and inefficient anchoring that has been a stumbling block for the development of high-strength CNT composite materials for decades. Our materials are designed for companies aiming to produce stronger, lighter, and recyclable products across a wide range of industries, including energy, industrial equipment, construction, transport, 3D printing, aviation, offshore, sports equipment, paint, textiles, space, electronics, and many other.
The LASSO technology is protected by a large number of granted patents and patent applications in major countries worldwide. Nanocore has developed a unique patenting strategy, that provides a major competitive advantage.
Nanocore has established collaborations with major industry players with a global presence to introduce new products made from CNT-reinforced polymers, ensuring our technology reaches and impacts markets worldwide. Our initial partners include some of the largest industrial players in Denmark.
We will continue revolutionizing major industries with our high-strength, low-weight CNT composites, dramatically advancing material characteristics and thereby driving strong improvements in energy production and storage, fuel savings, and sustainability.
Management
The Nanocore management consists of Henrik Pedersen, Lasse Borup Andersen, and Torben K. Jacobsen, combining experience in business development, finance, R&D, and the manufacturing industry.
Former CEO and founder of Immudex and Nuevolotion. He has extensive experience in composite materials, nanotechnology, and combinatorial chemistry. He is the inventor of more than 70 patents, including the Lasso patent.
Extensive experience in scaling companies, building organizations, raising equity, and establishing subsidiaries and offices in the UK, US and EU for high-growth technology companies. He holds a M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration.
Former Executive Senior Director for Advanced Technology Systems and Chief Engineering in GE Renewables. He holds a Ph.D. in Material Science and has 25 years of experience in R&D and industrialization of high strength composites.
